Paul, Ghana

October 4, 2011

I am a Ghanaian, a Christian and a lover of Israel. Been reading a lot about Biblical prophesies and international geopolitics. Will like to befriend you, pray with you and encourage you to keep defending the land promised to Israel by the Lord GOD.

Do you believe the return of Christ is imminent?

What is your perspective of the fall of Hosni Mubarak on Israel’s peace treaties?

Paul,

Thank you for taking the time to visit the site and get in contact with me.

I do not believe in Jesus as the Messiah, therefore I do not believe that he will return.  I believe that Jesus very well may have been a person that was living in the Land of Israel during the Roman times and was executed by crucifixion, as was common practice during those times.

I think that the fall of the dictatorship in Egypt could very well be a good thing for the Egyptian populous but that being said I think it may put the Egypt-Israel peace treaty in jeopardy in the time being.  As we saw not too long ago there has already been some mishaps on the border and that security is lax in Egypt especially in the Sinai Peninsula right now.  I think that if the Egyptian people and the military can make a smooth transition to a true liberal democracy without a serious incident happening again along the border then the peace treaty can hold.  That being said, if the populous ends up electing non-democratic leaders and the country turns into a theocracy or a different dictator takes over then the peace treaty may be in danger.  I think a smart pragmatic future leadership in Egypt will realize that it is to their and their country’s benefit to keep the peace treaty in tact.  I know that it seems like the majority of the population in Egypt does not want to abide by the peace treaty but I think that they will need to be convinced by their future leadership that it is too their benefit to maintain the treaty in the eyes of the world.  It gives them access to American military and economic aid which they will need to rebuild the country and help with the transition process.  It also shows the Western world that the future government of Egypt will be a trust worthy partner in the international arena which can lead to many other beneficial arrangements and treaties.

I hope you found my answer informative and helpful.  Please feel free to visit the site again, read our archives, and contact myself or any other volunteer on the site with any further questions you may have.
