I don’t believe that you and I have been in touch before so shalom from a perfect stranger. I am a regular on this site. I had planned to send this New Year’s greeting out to everyone nearer to Rosh Hashanah, but with things being what they are, and especially this coming week, I decided to do it today. I don’t know when you will have a chance to access the Friend a Soldier site but at least it will be there for you when time permits. L’Shana Tova! May you, your family and friends be inscribed for a healthy and happy New Year. I hope circumstances enable you to have time with them despite the uncertainty of the next two weeks in the Middle East. For the amount of “repairing the world” done through this site- the mission and each of you has certainly impacted my own life- I hope that the coming year can provide peace, stability, health and happiness to each of you.
I have had a hectic start to the new year, but I wanted to say thank you very much for your holiday wishes!!! Most of the unrest in the Middle East hasn’t really reached us in Israel quite yet. Even the lobby for a Palestinian state hasn’t really affected except for scattered riots. It will be interesting to see how the story unfolds as the Palestinian people begin to realise their attempt to achieve to Statehood has failed (which I believe it will continue to do so for the near future at least). Other than that, all is well and I am excited for an amazing new year and I wish you the same. That all should be healthy and happy!!!
