Irv, USA

February 16, 2012

I’m a US Army veteran. I enlisted in the US Army in the early 50s during the Korean War. I’m also a veteran of the Israeli Army, which I enlisted in at the beginning of the Yom Kippur War in October of 1973. They accepted me imediatly when they found out I was trained as a combat infantryman when I was in the US Army. They gave me a uniform, boots, and showed me how to take apart and use the UZI weapon I was issued. They then sent me with a small unit to fight in the Sinai. I and my wife with our three young children lived in Israel from 1970 to 1976. I’m not retired and still work. In my spare time I write. To my surprise I have even been published of a 200 page in four parts about just some of my life experiences and adventures. I also write children stories about the many animals that have passed through my life. My children stories are for the mature child, hopfully with something in them to learn from. I also write letters to God, but I’m not holding my breath waiting for a reply from Him.

I see that Hamutal has gone to the Bazelel Academy of Art and Design In Jerusalem. Three of my first six years in Israel we lived in Jerusalem I was the assitant to the Director of the Botonical Gardens and lived then in Ramat Eshkol. I’m looking for someone I can work with in illustrating my children stories and then having them published in Hebrew as well as in English.
If you are trying to look me up; My name when I lived in Israel was Yitzhak Frumberg, which also is the name when I enlisted in the Israeli Army.

Shalom Irv,

Your life story sounds very interesting. It sounds like you’ve done (and still doing) quite a lot.
Sadly, I can’t help you with your books, since I work in 3D, and my drawing skills are at non-existence. I’ll be happy to connect you with some of my friends who might be able to do it.

All the best,
