FaQ

Q: Who is answering my questions?

That depends on who you choose to talk to! All the soldiers on this website have finished their mandatory service and are currently living in Israel. Beyond that, it’s your decision.

Q: How do I get a response?

Once you have filled out the required boxes in the “question section” and press “send,” you will be taken to a page confirming your message has been sent. Your response will be sent to the address you listed in the “e-mail” section of the questionnaire. Each question is answered personally by the soldier you have chosen and will be answered as soon as possible.

Q: What should I ask?

Anything you want.  We encourage you to ask questions relating to the experiences and background of the soldier you’ve chosen based on the information given about him or her on the “Choose a Soldier” page.

Q: Are there any sensitive topics I should not ask about?

FaS encourages participants to ask about any topic they see fit. It is possible, however, that the soldier may not have experience in that area, and that he or she may only be able to provide you with his or her personal opinion on the matter.

There are, however, certain messages that will not recieve a response and these are outlined in the ‘Repsonse Policy‘ section of the site.

Q: Does everyone see my questions?

Most e-mail exchanges on FaS remain between the participant and the soldier. However, particularly interesting exchanges may be posted on the “Read Our Answers” page.

Q: What if I want to continue my correspondence?

Those who wish to continue their dialogue are invited to return to the website and continue asking questions.

Thank you!

We would like to thank our generous donors for their support of the project over the past years.
