Ruth, Tel Aviv

Ruth was born in the USA to Israeli parents, though spent the majority of her life in London, UK. After a few trial years of living with her family in Israel, her family returned overseas in 2009 and she decided she wanted to stay and enlist as a 'Lone Soldier' in the IDF. Ruth served as a 'Madrichat Sar-El'- a guide for International volunteers. Later she moved on to become the Head of the Educational Department in Sar-El, responsible for all the educational material and tours the volunteers experienced during their time in the IDF, specifically regarding Israeli and IDF history of the conflict. Her service inspired her to pursue a BA in Liberal Arts majoring in Middle Eastern studies at Tel Aviv University. She enjoys singing, acting, traveling and creative writing.
